Tea Party-Themed Bridal Shower at Lenny's Clam Bar in Howard Beach, Brooklyn
This four-hour bridal shower brought together a close-knit Guyanese family and a room full of women to celebrate the bride-to-be before the wedding. The pink-and-white tea party theme carried throughout the afternoon, from the decorations and desserts to the custom backdrop where guests stopped for photos. Between games, dancing, gifts, champagne, and plenty of good food, there was hardly a quiet moment until the fiancé made his appearance near the end of the celebration.
Bridal showers have a very different pace than weddings. There's more time for people to catch up, tell stories, and actually enjoy each other's company, which makes for some of the most natural photographs of the entire wedding season. My job is to capture all of it without interrupting the flow of the day, from the planned moments to the little interactions that nobody realized were happening.
If you're planning a bridal shower, engagement party, or other pre-wedding celebration in NYC, professional photography lets everyone stay in the moment while preserving the memories that often end up meaning just as much as the wedding itself.
