Business Portraits in Prospect Park, Brooklyn
Although many people search for corporate headshots in NYC, the best business portraits aren't always made in an office. Sometimes the right location tells the story much better.
This one-hour portrait session took place in Prospect Park with a client who wanted updated professional photos for her work in the sustainability sector. Instead of the usual office lobby, blank studio backdrop, or generic city street, we used the park to create a set of images that better reflected both her profession and her personality. The early spring colors gave the portraits a polished but approachable feel without looking overly staged.
One of the biggest misconceptions about professional headshots is that they all have to look the same. In reality, the best portraits should make sense for the person using them. A lawyer, an architect, an environmental consultant, and an artist probably shouldn't all have identical photos on their websites or LinkedIn profiles. Choosing a location that complements your work can make your portraits feel more authentic while still looking professional.
