Jewish 1st Birthday Party in Midwood, Queens

With a live DJ, multi-course dinner, and a dessert table that looked like it belonged in a magazine, this glamorous first birthday party took place at the King Solomon Palace in Midwood, Queens.

Decked out with an escalated Winnie the Pooh theme, the hall was alive with color, laughter, and nonstop dancing, from the youngest to the eldest, everyone was involved in the festivities.

Also on the scene was what might generously be called a “videographer” (ie: an overenthusiastic family member with a gimbal), so keeping him out of my shots and staying out of his way became an unplanned part of the job. These are the kinds of unexpected challenges that happen at any big event, and part of what I do is make sure they don’t disrupt the story I’m capturing without the viewer ever being the wiser.

You’ve put so much thought and effort into your party, so it only makes sense to make sure the memories reflect that with a professional photographer who has the right gear and a trained artistic eye to capture every moment.

Here are some of my favorite images from this shoot (click/tap to view full size and un-cropped):
