Engagement Dinner/Party in Chintatown, Manhattan

This four-hour engagement party at Jin Fong included a full cocktail hour, multi-course dinner, speeches, and a traditional dragon dance performance. Dragon dancers are often hired for celebrations because they symbolize good luck, prosperity, and the warding off of evil spirits—making them a meaningful addition to engagement parties and weddings. At this event, the dancers performed intricate routines weaving through the crowd, culminating in the classic “cabbage” ritual—offering heads of lettuce to the couple as a wish for good fortune and abundance. Afterward, the dancers posed with guests, blending tradition with fun photo opportunities.

If you want a photographer who understands how to capture every stage of your event—I’m ready to bring that experience to your celebration.
