Elopement Announcement Photoshoot, Golden Hour at the Brooklyn Bridge

Golden hour near the Brooklyn Bridge was the perfect backdrop for this two-hour couples session with traveling spouses-to-be planning a secret elopement. The idea? Shoot first, elope second, then drop the photos afterward to share their big news.

They came ready to play, and it shows. Good energy, open to direction, actually interacting with each other instead of stiffly posing. That kind of collaboration is what transforms a session from “nice pictures” into something that genuinely feels alive, and choosing two hours (over one) gives you so much more breathing room to relax and explore.

If you’re planning something similar, especially around a big reveal, the best photos come from a true collaboration. I’ll handle the technical side, but the more you show up as yourselves, the more the images reflect you.
