Bat Mizvah Party in Flatlands, Brooklyn

A bat mitzvah is an important milestone in a Jewish girl’s life, part ceremony and part celebration, marking her coming of age and her role in the community. I recently covered this one at the Armon Hall in Flatlands, Brooklyn, with a fun pink theme and lots of little personalized touches.

The highlight of the party was the custom lipgloss-making station that the girls loved, but there were also loving speeches, a sentimental slideshow, and of course food and dancing. Over my two hours of coverage, I focused on capturing both the big moments and the playful details that make a party feel personal.

If you’re planning a bat mitzvah, or any family celebration in NYC, I’d love to help make sure your photos show exactly how it felt to be there.
