Times Square Family Travel/Tourist Photoshoot

This visiting family wanted to experience New York at its most colorful, so we planned a one-hour night shoot right in the middle of Times Square. Between the neon lights, crowds, and constant motion, it was the perfect backdrop for a mix of posed family portraits and individual shots that still felt candid and alive. One of my favorite moments came when the daughters tried a classic New York street-cart hot dog for the first time—an unplanned stop that ended up being one of the most genuine photos of the night!

Night shoots in Times Square require quick thinking and precise camera work—the lighting shifts every second, and the crowds never stop moving. My goal is to capture the energy without losing the people in it, balancing the chaos of the city with clear, flattering images that also feel natural and spontaneous.

All images in this blog post were shot on a Nikon D850 using a variety of lenses, and all individually post-processed in Adobe Lightroom using custom-built presets.
