SQWM Non-Profit Holiday Celebration in Ozone Park, Queens

The South Queens Women’s March holiday party and awards ceremony at The Figure Studio in Jamaica, Queens was an evening dedicated to celebrating that work, bringing together local politicians, activists, community organizers, and supporters for a night of recognition and connection. Community events like this bring together people who spend much of the year organizing, advocating, and working behind the scenes to create something bigger than themselves.

I provided 3 hours of event photography coverage, capturing everything from the catered dinner and open bar to speeches, award presentations, games, dancing, and candid moments throughout the evening. With a full schedule of programming, this event offered a mix of planned moments and spontaneous interactions that told the story of the night. Whether documenting a nonprofit gathering, corporate event, or community celebration, I focus on capturing both the important moments and the atmosphere that makes each event unique.
