Brit Milah (Bris) at Kol Yaakov Hall, Bensonhurst Brooklyn (NYC)

I learn something new on every photoshoot; not just about photographic technique, but about myself, the inhabitants of New York City, and the world of cultures & ritual that surround me here. And this event was no exception. I had never attended a bris before (or any other religious ceremony for that matter, though I would go on to cover many more after this); so this was a very new experience, and it was intense and mysterious. An event I will definitely never forget!

All images in this blog post were shot on a Nikon D750, using an AF-S Nikkor 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 lens, and individually post-processed in Adobe Lightroom using my own custom presets.
