Lowe's x America's VetDogs, Long Island (Smithtown)

Lowe’s partnered with America’s VetDogs to upgrade their Long Island campus as part of the “Hometown Heroes” program, which provides free labor and materials to organizations doing community-focused work. Over the course of a four-hour morning, I covered Lowe’s employees completing repairs, landscaping, and new construction across the property.

The work included building covered outdoor break areas, planting gardens, and improving training grounds used daily to prepare service dogs for veterans. I was brought in to document the entire process—from the condition of the space at the start of the day, through active teamwork, to the completed areas—along with the people involved and how the space is used. The coverage also included a group lunch and a live training demonstration to show the real-world purpose of the upgrades.

The final image set gives Lowe’s and America’s VetDogs clear, usable documentation of what was built, who contributed, and how the investment directly supports their mission. This type of coverage is especially valuable for corporate volunteer programs, nonprofit partners, and any organization that needs straightforward visual records for reporting, press, and long-term use.
