Surprise Proposal at Jane's Carousel in DUMBO, Brooklyn

For this surprise proposal, the groom-to-be went all out—renting out the entirety of Jane’s Carousel in Brooklyn for complete privacy. I coordinated with the carousel operator to time everything perfectly, which included staying hidden until the moment (no easy feat in a glass-walled building). When she walked in, he had an acoustic guitar waiting and sang The Beatles’ “When I’m 64” before getting down on one knee. She said yes, of course, and we followed the proposal with portraits in and around the carousel, using its vintage charm and the surrounding waterfront as a backdrop. From there, we all took a short ferry ride to Manhattan for so the could get to their dinner reservations, ending the night exactly as planned.

Proposals move fast, and there’s no chance for a do-over. My role is to coordinate with the you every detail in advance—location, timing, angles, and lighting—so you can focus on the ask while I make sure the moment is documented perfectly.

If you’re planning to pop the question, I can help you turn it into a story you’ll love reliving every time you see the photos.
