Triple Baptism at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Manhattan
This baptism took place at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Manhattan and celebrated three children from the same family: a 16-month-old, a 2-year-old, and a 4-year-old. Combining multiple baptisms into a single ceremony made for a service that felt both intimate and lively, with plenty of family members gathered to witness the occasion.
Church ceremonies are always a balancing act. You're working respectfully within the structure of the service while still looking for meaningful photographs that go beyond simple documentation. In this case, that meant capturing both the sacramental moments themselves and the interactions between the siblings throughout the ceremony. Having children of three very different ages participating at the same time also meant plenty of genuine expressions and unscripted moments that could never be planned in advance.
