DOORDASH/SNAPPR PHOTOSHOOT REQUIREMENTS & CONFIRMATION INFORMATION
Planning and Coordination
⚠️ If you will not personally be present on the date and time of your shoot, please send this page (or otherwise communicate this information) to all of the staff members who will be working during that shift ⚠️
It is important to note that I am only scheduled for a maximum of 1 to 2.5 hours of shooting time (based the package you chose), so it is imperative that the food is ready upon my arrival, or can be quickly made once I arrive.
I’ll need about 5 minutes to set up my gear, so the food should start coming out around that time.
As I am often tightly booked with many appointments per day, it’s usually not possible for me to stay past the assigned time. Any lateness on the part of the restaurant will result in lost shooting time.
15 (or more) individual menu items/dishes
Prepared, plated, and ready-to-shoot upon my arrival (or that can be made quickly while I am shooting). The dishes MUST match the items that you have made available on your Doordash menu; they cannot be experiments, daily specials, or new items that are not already on your Doordash menu. Please choose meals that are fresh, bright, and colorful.
I will need to shoot each dish individually, then shoot all of them together in one, large shot at the end, so please don't take any of them away until I am completely finished.
Ensure that you have enough plates for this.
Plating and Presentation
Food must be displayed on plain, glass, stone, or ceramic dishes (NOT paper/plastic plates or any kind of take-out container). Preferably white, or off-white if available. DD prefers round or oval dishes (please, no square or rectangular ones if it can possibly be avoided).
If you do not currently possess the required plates, they can be easily obtained from any 'dollar store' prior to the shoot date.
Please add condiments or garnishes as necessary...anything that will make the food stand out and is an accurate representation of what the customer can expect to receive in their order. We will not need to shoot any cutlery (forks, chopsticks, etc).
Working Area and Space
A private (or semi-private) INDOOR area large enough for me to set up my tripod and lighting equipment (stands, umbrellas, reflectors, etc) around the table. You must have at least 1 table! All photos will be taken using artificial light to ensure branding consistency for Doordash. All items will be shot from the top-down unless they are ‘tall’ (like hamburgers or cake).
Because I will also have to shoot from the top-down for the 'big shot', I may need to stand on a table of chair to get high enough up to cover it all; if this is not an option we may have to place the plates on the floor.
Do NOT take any of the dishes away before the photoshoot is over!
The table should be large, clean, and a natural-finish/color (wood, stone, etc), along with a presentable background/wall for side shots. No plastics, glossy/glassy surfaces, or bright colors/patterns will be accepted.
